Our Vision

We believe human beings are all born good, and that relationships are the key to living well as much as to changing the world. We want to see a new, two-way relationship between ordinary people and their world that doesn't depend on national governments, multi-national corporations, or the mass media. We want to build a working model of working-class, poor and immigrant community-led bridge building with the developing world - starting right here in Foleshill.

We believe that while "think globally, act locally" remains necessary, it is no longer enough. For long-term solutions to even the most local of problems, ordinary people must act globally.

Although the world is far from just and peaceful, there has never been a time filled with richer opportunities to build societies that humans deserve. By focusing out on the world rather than just in on our own problems we will strengthen our own communities, while weaving an international web of ordinary peacemongers.
