2008: an International Festival of Friendship in Hillfields and Foleshill

is organising an International Festival of Friendship in the summer of 2008.

We've had two preliminary open planning meetings - and generated some excitement and enthusiasm. We're now organising small groups of people to work on different aspects.

Our vision for IFF'08 is that it will:

involve lots of individuals, groups, organisations and schools from across Foleshill and Hillfields
include all the different communities that live in the area
have guests from other countries coming to participate
link into existing events and festivals,such as the Foleshill Festival, Hillfields Gala, Positive Images Festival
have something for everyone
be a fun and interesting way of getting people together
have a strong youth element
have some women focussed events
involve sport, art, discussions, food, games, music, dance, drama, talks, films etc. etc......
